"Winning with Encouragement"

Walt Wiley has spent his adult life talking.  He speaks and/or teaches at conventions, conferences, churches, retreats, schools, banquets, locker rooms, whether to small groups or large groups.  His style is motivational, inspirational and peppered with humor.  Walt has a unique ability to make stories come alive and to challenge an audience about life-altering concepts while making them laugh in the process.

Walt is a native of the Philadelphia area and is a graduate of Asbury College and Northeastern Bible College.  He has also done extensive graduate work at the International School of Theology in San Bernadino, California.  Walt taught and coached at Northeastern Bible College for 14 years and also served for 15 years on the staff of Walk Thru the Bible Ministries.

Walt presently leads an organization called Winning With Encouragement which is based in Charlotte, North Carolina.  Much of Walt's energies go into various speaking engagements and teaching WWE seminars:

  • The Look of the Leader examines leadership by looking at the heart.
  • The Encouragement Seminar is intended to encourage people as it compares what our society says is significant with what God sees.
  • How to Get Your Mate to be Like You So You'll Both Be Perfect is a humorous and insightful look at the subtle wedges that can be created in our marriages and how to handle them.
  • Standing Out in the Crowd
  • Effectively Handling All That You Have
  • How to Encourage
  • Finding Encouragement in a Discouraging World
  • Figuring Out People Who Aren't Like You

In addition to traveling and speaking, Walt and his wife Patti lead regular pilgrimages to the lands of the Bible, including Israel, Greece and Turkey.

Walt has for a long time been involved in athletic ministry.  He served for 14 years as Baseball Chapel's representative to the Atlanta Braves.  He speaks to many athletic groups, meets with athletes and serves on the board of Baseball Chapel.

Walt and his wife Patti reside in Charlotte, North Carolina.  They have been married for 49 years and have two grown sons, Bart and Brett.
